Whitley Neill Gin

Whitley Neill London Dry Gin with 700 ml. and 42 % Vol. Whitley Neill Gin is an upmarket brand of gin distributed by Whitley Neill Limited, launched in 2005. It is produced in small batches in an antique copper pot still, and contains two African botanicals—baobab fruit and Cape gooseberries. Of its taste, the Liquor Snob in June 2004 said: "Exotic is the word of the day. Citrus came to play first, followed by a fresh, subtle, complex finish." In its 2008 Hot List, The Daily Mail wrote: "Not only does it taste delicious, made from the citrusy fruit pulp of the baobab tree and cape gooseberries, but 5 per cent of profits are donated to Tree Aid, a charity that helps some of the poorest families in Africa by planting trees."

The Whitley Neill Gin, distilled near Birmingham, England, is sold in a squat bottle with a stylized baobob tree on its label. Its claim: "inspired by Africa, made in England."
