Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 years old whisky with 2 very nice and unique whisky glasses. The glasses are very heavy this is a nice gift and a great set because you dont pay for the glasses. Johnnie Walker Black Label got 2004 the Gold Medal in the category Blended Whisky at the ISW (International Spirit Competition).
We selected two different ratings of two experts for you, Michael Jackson and Paul Pacult. They show you how good this Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky really is.
Michael Jackson, Whisky Magazine:
Nose: Rich. Maple syrup, spices and mustard. Can a whisky have a hint of acidity on the nose? Yes, but rahter the acidity of a Lenny Bruce rather than of vinegar.
Palate: Marijuana. Big interplay of smoky dryness, spicy heat and sweetly malty, creamy vanilla.
Finish: Rounded with raisiny sherry. At length, mellow.
Comment Is Black Label a great whisky? Was Dizzy Gillespie a great musician?
Paul Pacult, Whisky Magazine:
Nose The salty thumbprint of Talisker is identifiable from the moment of pouring. Mature, moderately oaked and oily in a nutty manner. A lovely and textured bouquet.
Palate Medium-to-full bodied. Leaps far past the Red Label in terms of grip on the tongue as grainy flavours start out dry at entry, then go pedal-to-the-metal at mid-palate with tangy, vivid tastes of peat, tobacco leaf, malt, and ripe apple.
Finish The malt becomes sweet and zesty in the aftertaste.
Comment A blend that I like more every time I evaluate it.
The Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 years here in a set with two beautiful glasses.
