The Glenrothes normal wood policy uses a combination of Spanish and American oak, seasoned with sherry, bourbon and malt Scotch. However, The Glenrothes Alba Reserve has been exclusively matured in American oak refill bourbon casks, but still exemplifies the distillery core flavours – juicy citrus, creamy vanilla, ripe fruits and complex spices.
