Angostura 1824 from Trinidad, minimum 12 years old. With 40 % volume and 700 ml. content.
Filled up per hand in numbered glas bottles. Medium, dark with greenish tinge. Attractive nose is a mass of vanilla mingled with oak, treacle and dark brown sugar. Sweet in the mouth with soft texture but definitely not weak. Full of life for it’s age and packed with real, complex rum flavours. Some fine smoky oak. Bitter chocolate, touch of tobacco and hints of honey all add to the great complexity. Mellow and mature. Long, lively, spice filled finish. |

Für dieses Preissniveau fand ich in fiel zu scharf in der Kehle. Geschmackstechnisch nicht schlecht.

Ein wirklich feiner Rum, in netter Aufmachung, schicke Versiegelung der Flasche.
Sehr weich im Geschmack, von der Süsse her für mich schon an der Obergrenze, aber in seiner Altersklasse wirklich etwas besonderes.
Wobei er, wie nicht anders zu erwarten an so...
